Housing

Housing is Healthcare

Saving Lives in Atlanta One Home at a Time

At Status: Home, our mission is to provide homeless and low-income individuals and families (including children) impacted by HIV/AIDS in Greater Atlanta with a continuum of housing, healthcare resources, and supportive services that are critical to our residents’ survival and contribute to their overall self-sufficiency.

Home is a bright light when all is dark

Via staff and community partners, Status: Home provides wrap-around services to individuals in all of our housing programs, including case management, linkage to HIV care, employment services, mental health services, and legal services.

Our clients are referred to us via Hope Atlanta or other organizations via local coordinated entry.

Facilities-based Housing

Our Facilities-Based Housing serves single adults in efficiency apartments. Residents have on-site access to support staff, and services including case management and care coordination. Our current facility is dedicated to single adults living with AIDS who require more concentrated care.

Master-lease Housing

Our master-lease housing provides autonomous, independent living solutions in subsidized rental units throughout Atlanta to individuals and families.

Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)

We help families and individuals who are able to hold a lease in their name maintain their housing by providing monthly rental subsidies for 12 – 24 months.

How Do People Apply for Housing with Status: Home?

Supportive Services

Status: Home collaborates and partners with 25 organizations and community agencies to meet our residents’ changing needs and provide valuable services to enhance the quality of life.

From medical care to dependency rehabilitation, these essential services would be out of financial reach for our residents if they were not provided free of charge.

Success Stories: Meet Felicia

A Home of Her Own

After moving into our housing, Felicia* attended required budgeting classes. Over time, her newfound financial stability allowed her to purchase a home where she proudly hosts family celebrations.
