Why HIV/AIDS Housing?

Housing is healthcare. Housing results in improved health outcomes with the majority of people living with HIV/AIDS
Housing is prevention. With treatment, infectivity is reduced by 96%.
Housing is desperately needed. In Atlanta, about 3,000 housing units are needed for those affected by HIV. Our 160 units represent over 60% of the available permanent supportive HIV housing.

Success For Our Children

Jerusalem House is Atlanta’s oldest and largest provider of permanent housing for Atlanta’s low-income and homeless individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Nearly 100 children live in Jerusalem House programs. We provide them with the tools they need to succeed – like stable housing, tutoring, and school supplies.

JH & HOPWA Budget Cuts

Due to HOPWA budget cuts beginning July 1, JH has been forced to reduce our housing units to 160. With sequestration, our funding is likely to be further affected. More….
